For those moments when you’re so tired you’re ready for Jesus to come back, or to take you Home, remember that He’s keeping you here because you still got things to do!

Scriptures:

·      Matthew 28:20

·      Romans 8:22-23

·      Philippians 1:6

Recently, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. Between studying and work, I rarely have time to actually go out and enjoy life. Being cooped up for so long isn’t good for anyone, and I’ve struggled with feeling stuck—like I am destined to live only this life and expect nothing more. On top of that, all of the evil in the world causes me to worry almost all the time. The culmination of emotions becomes so much, that I feel as if I cannot go on. In those moments, I call out to Jesus and just ask for Him to either take me home (Psalm 55:6) or come back soon (Romans 8:22-23)!

But immediately when I thought of that, I was reminded very gently: “You still got things to do.” I am here for a reason, and all that God has planned for me hasn’t come to fruition yet. I am still on this earth because God has something in store for me. His plan will come to pass, at the right time. So, I continue to hold on, despite the tears, and the headache, and the anger, and the desire for more. So often I will think to myself, Is this really all that my life is going to be? But it isn’t. You are just in the process of bringing God’s will to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Whenever you feel as if you’ve just had enough, and that there’s no reason for you to be here still…remember that if God had planned for you to not exist, you wouldn’t. But He has planned for you. He has planned for your entire life (Jeremiah 29:11)! So the only reason you are here is because He wants you here. He wants you to be here, living the way you are living, and being with the people you are with. Everything in your life, that has happened or will happened, is within God’s plan. We are called to go out and testify about God (Matthew 28:20), and we must love and serve no matter what (Matthew 5:44). God has placed us here to do His will, and we have to continue on, because He gives us strength to do it (Psalm 46:1)!

So when you need encouragement, remember these scriptures, and remember that You Still Got Things to Do!
